Made from 100% Montepulciano grapes, a clone of Sangiovese, this is Montepulciano d' Abruzzo but fermented in less time on the grape skins. "Cerasuolo in Abruzzo means of "cherry color". It has an intense cherry-red color with a bouquet of ripened Bing Cherries that is fresh and fragrant. the taste is dry and full of ripe red fruit flavors. It is served chilled with any grilled meats, fish, pasta, pizza and soft cheeses or just savored by itself as a dry rose cocktail.

Abruzzi is a major producer of wine with volumes that exceed those of the entire nations of Austria or Chile or Hungary or Greece, yet the region isn't as well known as it deserves to be. The predominant varieties are Montepulciano (not to be confused with the town of that name in Tuscany) and Trebbiano, source of the regionwide D.O.C.s. Montepulciano d'Abruzzo combines robust power with finesse in wines that have been winning increasing praise from the critics.
